Sixteen Orders and a Heart Full of Hope
Publishing the first book in my Dreamland Adventures series shook me in ways I never imagined. I thought writing would be the hardest part, but pressing “publish”? That felt like standing in the middle of a crowded room, holding out something precious, and whispering, “I hope you like it.”
Then came the silence… the waiting… the wondering.
No one really talks about the fear that comes with chasing something you love. The fear of being invisible. The fear of letting yourself down. The fear that this dream you’ve nurtured quietly for so long might only matter to you. I found myself clinging to numbers like they were oxygen – refreshing stats, wondering who opened the email, who didn’t, who unsubscribed. It’s wild how data can tug so hard at a human heart.
But then… the orders started trickling in. Sixteen so far. Sixteen sparks of belief. Sixteen reminders that this dream is real – and it’s reaching people, even if only one soul at a time. And I’m grateful. Deeply, fiercely grateful. Because those sixteen people may never know it, but they helped quiet the doubt long enough for hope to speak.
Yes, the waiting is uncomfortable. The patience? It stretches you. But I’m learning that beginnings don’t always roar – they whisper. And that whisper is telling me: Greater things are coming. So for now, I’ll lean in, breathe deep, and treasure every moment of the Dream… and the Adventure.
