Winning the ABFF/TV One Screenplay Award in 2016 with Tale of a Script cracked open the next chapter of my creative life. Having my script optioned made me feel seen, and truly welcomed, by the film community. It was more than validation; it was an invitation. And I haven’t stopped writing since.

I don’t really do boxes. Genres, formats, labels… they’re cool and all, but I like to color outside the lines. If a story taps me on the shoulder, I’m listening. Whether it wants to be a bedtime story for tiny dreamers, a film about trauma and healing, a psychological thriller that messes with your head, or a love story rooted in Black joy… or something I haven’t named yet, I trust the process. I follow the feeling. And I’m a Cancer so… feelings matter to me. That emotional undercurrent runs through everything I create.

​So, poke around. Stay awhile. See where the stories have taken me so far and maybe catch a glimpse of where they’re headed next. Because at the end of the day, I’m just here chasing truth, wonder, and the magic of a well-told tale.
